What's the CryptoKids Decoder Program All About?

Crypto means hidden in Greek. CryptoKids can find Greek and Latin word parts hidden in long words.

aqua (water) + -arium (place for) = aquarium

tri- (three) + pod (foot) = tripod

The CryptoKids Decoder Program is an easy, fun, 34-week program that teaches basic Greek and Latin roots, prefixes, and suffixes. Each week, a program coordinator provides teachers with four to six Greek and Latin word chunks. The teachers give these new roots and affixes to the students who record them in their own composition books. Designed for third grade and up.*
